This has got nothing to do with Templot or railways but I have found Templotters a very good source of IT knowledge over the years. A couple of years ago I bought a programme called Sound Forge by Sony. With it I am able to extract sound from CDs and export it in whatever format I choose. I store some on a server using *FLAC for streaming around the house and I export in MP3 for adding to iTunes and then on to iPad/iPhone. Now I want to do the same for video - extracting information from my DVDs and adding them both to my home server and iTunes. I have bought a programme called Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum and thought it would be a simple task to extract the DVD information and export it in the relevant format (MPEG4 seems to be what iTunes uses). However I can't do this as there are multiple files on the DVDs which don't seem keen to be extracted and aren't in a recognisable file format. Is what I want to do possible or not? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks, Peter |

You might try this: http://www.iskysoft.com/dvd-ripper-windows.html - the Mac version extracts audio without any problems but I haven't tried video... Neil |
