Dear All,

I am sure I have asked this before but I can't find the post (might have been the old forum) but, I just fell over an issue which cause me grief. If you have a Template which has timbers but not rails, it cannot be selected by clicking on it nor by means of the group fence - this is an issue if you need to shift such Templates as part of a Group - they just get left behind. They also just appear within the Storage Box as a blank.

This is something of a PITN when you have a fair few of them - any suggestions as to a workaraound?

Best Wishes,

Howard.

Hi Howard,

Three options:

1. group > group select > click templates to group menu item. Then click on the name label of the template to add it to, or remove it from, the group. Repeat for as many templates as required. This mode is cancelled when you click any other menu item, or press ESC or F12.

or

2. Hold down the SHIFT key or put the CAPS LOCK on. Then click on the name label of the template to show its menu on the left. Click the group select (toggle) menu item.

In both cases, if you have the name labels hidden, they will appear for clicking as the mouse moves over their position.

or

3. Put the track centre-lines back on: geometry > track centre-lines menu item. The templates can then be selected in the usual way by clicking on them or dragging the group fence round them. You may need to be a bit more precise with the mouse than usual when clicking.

regards,

Martin.
