Hello

I have attached a box file of a plan I am working on at the moment, and will follow with a background shapes file which sort of shows the baseboard outlines (I tried mousedrawing rectangles and this was the result). It is a little while since I did much work in Templot and I can't for the life of me work out how to extend the curved exit from the two points in templates 12 and 16 to meet each other. I'm sure I'm just being thick! I suspect that I will need to move them to avoid a threepenny bit kink in the track - but anything which will help my addled brain would be welcome:roll:

If the point in template 16 were to be moved up, it would straddle a baseboard joint, which is not ideal.

thanks in advance

Paul

Hi Paul,

There are several ways to do this.

Try this on the lower turnout (template 12):

do > turnout road > long

template > V-crossing options... > curviform crossing

CTRL+F9 mouse action roam it to the best tangency with the upper turnout (template 16).

F4 mouse action to shorten it to the tangency position.*

Then possibly real > timbering > exit track > exit timbered
 and shove timbers to taste.

Or extend the exit sleepers on template 16 and widen them to timbers.

*For the neatest result template 16 needs to have the exit track split off (tools > make split > make separate exit track) and then be similarly shortened slightly (CTRL-0, then F4) to the tangency position. The new exit template can then be lengthened (F4) to fit the space.

regards,

Martin.

Many thanks for such a quick reply. It worked a treat!
