Hi Martin,
It seems that QTRL-Q quick-add can be confirmed with a return, only when a switch is chosen. I did not really look into this, but the "return" never worked for me when I was adding just a straight piece of track.
Best regards,
Mark

BTW Love the "drawing program". Any chance of something like bezier curves?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for finding that. The ENTER key works if you select plain track on the combo, but not if you click the plain track button. I will get it fixed.

You mean on the sketchboard?

If so I shall have to add it myself. Nils isn't really doing much development work since his accident. If I do it myself I think I would do cubic splines in preference to bezier curves. I already have a lot of code I wrote for them from toolmaking work. I've also long intended to add cubic splines for the track, although of course they are not prototypical for railway curves. What do you want to do with bezier curves?

regards,

Martin.

Just to add Mark, that of course the easiest way to get a new plain track template is simply to click on one you already have and then press C on the keyboard -- or copy to the control on its menu.

Well, that was just an example of a way to make curves by just selecting a few points. I guess cubic splines will work fine, too!

Thanks about the C tip. I suppose it pays to read the instructions and to check out the several menu options!

Regards,
Mark

Fixed in next TDV update.

Martin.
