I asked the following in an email relating to anew lock code and Martin rightly asked me to post such questions and points in Templot Club in future. So although I have the answers I need I think it is useful to post the questions and answers up. As they say  - ask as others may well have the same issues!

HI Martin

I have been using the development version a lot recently mostly while traveling and I have come across two come across a few minor things I have found are not unique to the development version. Probably I have not looked deeply into your notes.

One:-  being the idiosyncratic but useful  undo function!!  It always seems to go back further than I anticipated. And then I forget which template I am on and end up wiping it from the background. My problem mostly and can live with it as a couple of click in storage box gets you back usually. No answer required or wanted.

Two:-   How do I remember TS from MS, again a click or corrects the mistake normally but  coupled with the undo function it can mean going to the box and relocating the actual template and with my messy way of working sometime this is a little annoying.

Your answer was. You have a transition curve which is too "gentle". The radius is changing by too small an amount in too long a length, and the maths capability of the computer processor is exceeded. In practice such a transition curve serves little purpose and you may as well use a fixed radius curve instead, or a shorter transition curve.

Three:-  when using transition curves to line up difficult track alignments  and changing the curving with a mouse sometimes, and I find it difficult  say exactly when, but it is at far extremes when the screen display loses coherence and has a zigzag appearance rather than the smooth lines we normally see

Your answer was - Put the timber numbers on for the control template. They are always on the MS side:

workpad > pad options for the control template > show timber numbers
