I have just acquired a 64-bit computer and I am in the process of migrating my files and programmes from my old computer to my new one before disposing of the old computer.

I want to load Templot onto my new computer (the Templot CD I have has 'Templot 074B 4.8 - 04' written on it). Will my version of Templot work on a 64-bit computer or will I need to upgrade to a more recent version?

Assuming that it is 64-bit compatible, I believe that I will need a new code number in order to install Templot on my new computer. How do I acquire this number?

Hi Bob,

The paid-for versions of Templot were withdrawn in November. In future Templot will be available for use free of charge and supported by voluntary donations.

I'm not issuing any more lock-release codes because very soon the new free version of Templot2 will be available.

In the meantime you are welcome to download and use the Templot Development Version (TDV), see:

 topic 1731

Please read the relevant topic notes. Some of the new features are not yet finished but all the functions from the previous versions work exactly as before.

All versions of Templot run of 64-bit versions of Windows 7.

regards,

Martin.

Thanks very much, Martin. I have not used Templot for more than a year (mainly due to protracted illness, from which I have now recovered), so I have not been able to keep up with the latest developments.

I will download TDV and look forward to the release of Templot 2.

Bbst wishes,
Bob

Don't forget to install a printer driver. Templot won't start without one.

TDV should do. :)

Please let me know if anyone finds otherwise.

In any event, Windows 7 now comes with the Microsoft XPS Writer as a default installed printer.

regards,

Martin.
