Recently bought an iMac computer after years of working on a Windows based machine. All is going reasonably well, so I installed Parallels 7, Windows 7 - 64 bit and Templot TDV this morning.

I've opened Templot via Parallels and the work pad shows no problem, however when I used F3 to lengthen a piece of track the desktop came up which would suggest the F keys are still linked to OSX Lion 10.7.

Is there something I need to do to swap the F keys over to Windows/Templot?

Can anyone advise what the process is now to get a new release code?

I'm now under the impression that Martin will no longer receive emails and whilst I have downloaded the TDV, I'd rather continue working on 91C until TDV is ready for release. I did send a mail earlier this morning, but guess that won't be delivered, so I'm not sure what I should do.

Hi Gordon,

I received your email and I will reply shortly. Just a bit tied up at present.

Try the Windows On-Screen Keyboard. Instead of pressing the keys you click them:

Windows > Start > All Programs > Accessories > Accessibility > On-Screen Keyboard.

regards,

Martin.

Thanks Martin. There's no rush. I just wasn't sure what the process was now. I'll try your keyboard suggestion. If all else fails, I'll leave it on my old XP machine.

Just for future reference "Accessibity" is now "Ease of Access" on my latest Windows 7.

Hi Gordon,

The process now is that I'm doing my level best to get everyone to use the same version of Templot. That means using TDV with a forced update each time via the server.

The reason is so that I can go ahead and update all the help docs and videos without causing an even worse muddle. So I'm not issuing any more lock-release codes for the previous versions.

Is there a specific reason why you want to use 091c on your new system instead of TDV?

regards,

Martin.

Hi Gordon,

Yes. I assumed you would be using XP on your Mac. :)

Unfortunately Microsoft have spoilt the on-screen keyboard in Win7 for our use. They have made it now match laptop computers, so that you must first click the Fn button to get the F keys.

It's only one extra click each time, but makes it not much faster than using the menus.

regards,

Martin.
