I posted my original proposal in the wrong section but never-the-less received some very good advice. This has led me to the current design and I would again appreciate your comments.

The basic station layout is similar to Bath Green Park. Trains from the branch and main lines terminate in the arrival platform. A carriage siding is located in the station and another carriage siding is between the up/down running lines.

Goods and parcels trains are taken to the Goods/shunt line.
The loco shed is located a few miles up the branch. This branch line already exists with all the facilities installed.

There are 3 storage sidings fed by the up and down main.

This is my first attempt in 00-SF and I wish to start construction when the gauges arrive and the plan is finalised.

Control is by DCC.

Any comments would be appreciated.2184_181755_500000000.jpg2184_181755_500000000.jpg

Hello Peter,

The plan looks very good. I would a appreciate a look at the box file if you wouldn't mind posting it, or at least the part that covers the scissors crossover leading to the main line fiddle yards.

Thank you for your comments Rob. Here is the complete Box File, Please note that I have not yet made the slips nor have I shoved timbers, The sketchpad file states the type of slips to be made.

Please find attatched the box file of the junction area.

I found an alignment error on the Down Main which I have corrected by adjusting the 'v' crossing angle.

I am not sure of how the check rails should be arranges through the scissors but have updated them and await comments/advice on this.

Thanks
Peter

Peter,

Many thanks for posting the box files. I like the way the track flows though the scissors. Somebody with more knowledge than me will have to comment on the check rails.

I have now made all the slips and would appreciate comments. This is my first time using Templot for about 4 years.

Outstanding queries in respect of extended check rails in the scissors section.
I have also added basic signalling and again I am looking for advice on this.
The slips look OK but I would appreciate comments on these and any other aspects of the trackwork.
