Please could someone help me with the length of narrow gauge track pannels.

We are building a freelance layout but would like to fit fishplates (some cosmetic with notched rails) in the correct places. I know that these varied a lot, but the layout will have stock from companies like the Festiniog, Lynton & Barnstable etc (larger companies) so something companies like these would have used.

Thanks in advance

The Vale of Rheidol used second hand rail. I doubt if there was such a thing as a "track panel". Photographs seem to show something like 9 -12 sleepers per rail length. In early days, at least, some of the rail joints were staggered and there was often a sleeper under the rail joint.
