Hi Martin, You wrote: Just a note to say I haven't forgotten your NER templates. Thanks for letting me know. There is no hurry. I have to produce a track plan for my test track first. I am about to have a go at producing a 'background shape' 69 inches by 18 inches on which to construct the track plan. Hopefully, this will be a simple enough task for me to do without assistance. If not.......watch this space! Best wishes, Bob Ellis |

Martin Wynne wrote: Hi Bob, Several months have passed in which I have not had much time to work with Templot, but I started again a couple of weeks ago and I am finally getting the hang of it - well, at least, the basics! I have produced a plan for a test track I intend to build to get a bit more experience of the techniques I intend to use on the magnum opus that I shall be starting in the spring when my garage conversion has been completed. I have drawn out the test track plan using B-6 and B6.25 REA switches, but I need now to produce another version with prototypical NER sleepered single junctions. Martin was kind enough to produce a couple of 1:8 NER sleepered single junction templates for me to work on with Norman Soloman on the track-building course at Missenden Abbey. Can someone please point me in the right direction for adapting these switches (or designing my own) to different sizes. Initially, I need 1:6 and 1:6.25 single junctions, but later I shall need to produce other non-standard sizes as I design the track plan for Leyburn, which will be superimposed on the 1911 1:2500 OS map. Best wishes, Bob Ellis |
