Greetings ! I have used Templot for some years now and recently, needing to create another couple of points, upgraded to Templot 2. Unfortunately on opening T2 says it cannot connect to the website, citing a lack of Internet connection. My BT HomeHub 3 is working okay so what have(or haven't) I done ? Bob Working in 'Om' on the Rhรคtischebahn - 1/45th scale for 22.5 mm track gauge. Anything else would be too easy..... |

Hi Bob, Welcome to Templot Club. Most likely you need to give templot_2.exe permission to connect in your firewall settings. regards, Martin. |

Thanks, Martin AVG was using a 'small office/home network' setting which with Windows 7 on this machine - others are XP - cannot operate as a network as previous OS. So changing the setting to 'directly connected to the internet' has allowed me to access the Templot server. Phew Bob I used to be a networks engineer...used to be....ping.... |

Nigel Brown wrote: Bob S wrote:Bob Ah, Nigel, the plot thickens ! When I booted up the machine this morning, Templot 2 again could not access the website. AVG had reverted to the 'home network' setting, so I changed this setting back to 'direct access' and all is now well again. So I don't know ! BTW Templot_2.exe is loaded under all AVG Firewall profiles......so presumably should work under any. Bob |
