In the next update I have added an option to have a start-up .box data file.

If you save a .box file called start.box in your \BOX-FILES\ folder, and don't choose to reload your previous session, the start.box file will be loaded automatically.

This can contain whatever you want -- custom templates, library templates, a default track plan of some sort, default settings for the control template, gauge and scale, etc.

It's an ordinary .box file, so you can reload it or modify it at any time.

If you don't want to use this feature it's very simple -- don't save a file called start.box . :)

The same applies to background shapes if you save a file called start.bgs in your \SHAPE-FILES\ folder. In this case however, it loads every time on start-up as there is no "reload previous" function for .bgs files.

This option is especially useful for the background shapes, since once defined these tend to remain unchanged while working on the track plan through several sessions.

If you don't want to use this feature it's very simple -- don't save a file called start.bgs . :)

These functions are independent of your saved program preferences and are based solely on the existence or otherwise of files called "start".

If by chance you have existing files called "start" please rename them before installing the next update if you don't want the above functions.

regards,

Martin.
