Hi All. I have printed out a printer calibration sheet and entered the dimensions and then printed off the proof sheet but before I could confirm that it was ok the pc crashed. A blue screen dump came up. After re-booting I attempted to go through the process again (several times since) but it now crashes as the test sheet emerges stopping just below the buffer beam. I have attempted an uncalibrated full print via the output but this also crashes. It wll print out individual sheets. Any info would be most welcome. Robin |

Hi Robin, Welcome to Templot Club. Is the printer working OK from other programs? Which version of Windows? What make and model of printer? Have you cleared the printer spooler? What print quality setting are you using? Don't use photo-quality for template prints as it demands a massive amount of memory. 300dpi or 600dpi is fine for templates. (Normal or Draft or Economy or similar settings.) regards, Martin. |

Hi Martin, Yes the printer, which is an HP A3 Officejet 7500 E910, is working fine with other programs. The PC is working Windows 7 both just some 2 months old. The print quality defaults to Normal which is the setting I am using. When I asked for details of the fault it came up: Problem Event Name Blue Screen OS Version 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Files descibe problem mini dump I'm not sure how to clear the printer spooler Regards Robin |

Hi Robin, To clear the printer spooler in Windows7, go to Start > Control Panel and click Devices and Printers. On the next page, double-click on the relevant printer icon, to see this dialog appear: 2_271522_140000000.png If your computer has been crashing, there will probably be some unfinished pages listed there. Click the Printer > Cancel All Documents menu item. Then restart Windows and try again. If still no joy, the first thing to try would be to download the latest printer driver from the HP web site. Anyone else having any problems with this printer? regards, Martin. |

Hi Martin, All sorted thankyou. Carried out your suggestions re the spooler but no problem there. Finally downloaded a new driver which seems to have cured the problem. Many thanks Robin |
