Windows8 has now been available for a few months and is receiving a very mixed reaction.

And no reaction at all from Templot users? :?

I'm assuming that no news is good news and that Templot installs and runs on Windows8 without any problems.

But it would be nice if someone said so. Or not. :)

regards,

Martin.

Hi Martin,

As far as I am concerned your assumption is correct. TEMPLOT runs fine in Windows 8.

Just one note - during the installation process Windows 8 decided, all by itself, that it was going to run TEMPLOT in XP compatability mode. I did not change this setting. It did the same thing for dBASE Plus.

Yep, another Windows 8 user (64bit), with no problems, to be honest I have found Windows 8 to be more willing to run older windows programs than Vista & Windows 7.

I installed my Delphi 7 and the old Borland Database Engine without any objections, where as with Vista & 7 it took a while to get it all on and working.

And I like Windows 8, I don't miss the start button, and after a bit of playing, for me its the best windows yet.

Thanks for the replies. :thumb:

It seems that Templot is fine on Windows8. One less thing to fret about. :)

Thanks again,

Martin.
