Hi all, After a bit of a hiatus I have come back to my Temploting but am now trying to locate template at a distance from the baseboard edge (75mm) but in locating the Template at (X:0 Y:75) puts it in a different location to the Notch which I placed using GEOMETRY>NOTCH>SET NOTCH POSITION AND ANGLE at (X:0 Y:75) I have attached a screen shot. I have done a search for 'Origin' and have found some matches and think this might be to do with page margins of the printer? Obviously I can manually move the template to where I want it but am curious to the reason of the discrepancy. Thanks a lot. |

Then geometry > notch > shift onto notch (or MULTIPLY key on the number pad). By first setting the peg position within the control template, this method allows you to set any part of the control template at a fixed location on the grid, at any angle. regards, Martin. (p.s. tech notes to be ignored: The dimensions shown on the F7 mouse action are relative to the template starting position on its datum (the green dot on the Y-axis), measured to the start of the main road stock rail gauge-face (which is the calculation origin for the template). Each template can have its own datum on the Y-axis if needed. These dimensions aren't very meaningful to the user, especially after any rotation. They are mainly for my use in testing. See also geometry > shift/rotate > settings (expert) > menu items.) |
