Hello Temploteers, Here is a Double tandem I have done myself to see if I could. I would appreciate any faults or issues being pointed out as I am convinced there must be something I have overlooked. Trevor. |

Hi Trevor, Looking good. A couple of points: 2_191341_580000000.png There isn't room for wheel flanges on the running rail at A. To be safe in 00 you need about 2 rail-widths clearance, or maybe a bit less in EM/00-SF. Shorten the flare length and/or rail length and/or change to a machined flare on this check rail end to clear: 2_191353_230000000.png The same applies to some extent at B, although just shortening the length a little should be enough. regards, Martin. |

Hello, I had a bit of difficulty removing rails on background templates where they cross the crossings in the overall template.I think I have done it now though. |

Hi Trevor, You have done very well to get a complete tandem in only 6 partial templates. But the timbering needs further work. Here you have a crossing nose hanging in fresh air between the timbers. The special crossing chairs when fitted in the correct place on the rails won't have any wood under them: 2_191825_170000000.png Generally, the way to avoid this is to retain the timbering on the same partial template as each of the V-crossings, and shove the surrounding timbering accordingly. regards, Martin. |

Hello, I have moved the timbers and they seem quite close around the crossing. I guess that is the sort of issue permanent-way men had to deal with on a regular basis.I suppose it is the close proximity to the other crossing that causes such issues. I have uploaded the box file as well. Trevor. 2110_200956_370000000.png |

Hello, I have just noticed I seem to have lost a turnout crossing rail on this version. Trevor. |

Hello, I don't know how that happened but a bit of adjustment with the rails and another reshuffle with the timbers seems to have it sorted. I introduced a bonus timber into the equation while moving the timbers and discovered it was a different size to the other timbers at the crossing. It was the size of a plain track sleeper(10")but I was able to increase the width to 4mm(12"). The timbers are a bit closer spaced at that crossing but I suppose that would be the case in real life. I have really enjoyed getting this far and must say a big thank you Martin. y |
