Speaking with Martin at Railex he told me someone was printing special chairs in 7 mm scale, I have tried the search facility on here without any luck. Please can anyone show me the thread or website.
Thanks
John

Thank you. Looks very promising, all I can see are check rail chairs and 1-6 crossing chairs. Clear guide as what chairs go where, does this mean there will be more to come?

You missed the S1-J chairs which were used in turnouts by the LNER after 1928.

I'm hoping to order test prints of P chairs later this month along with S1 and L1 chairs with seperate tapered keys.  The P chairs will come with a (cosmetic) "bolt" to fix them to the stock rails.

After that it'll be the remainder of the chairs, spacing blocks etc required for an A switch.

Then, having proved the concepts for both common crossings and switches, there'll be an expansion of the range to include other angles.  Followed by obtuse crossings and slips.  Something of the order of 200+ different chairs last time I counted.

So please don't hold your breath whilst waiting for me !

You could always scratchbuild your chairs instead !

Thanks, I have been working with the Exactoscale range of special chairs for some time and have always thought that these would look so much better in 7 mm scale. As far a P chairs are concerned 7 mm is better off than 4 mm as they are available in both 4 and 2 bolt versions along with bridge chairs as I guess you are very well aware.
Like the look of the the crossing chairs and bolt detail, your thread seems to stop last year. are there any new additions planned for the range please
Thanks
John

Dave sorry was looking at your previous threads.

One thing I have found with the check rails when using the 0.8 mm chairs for either EM or 00sf is to cut them in two and use a check rail gauge, much easier than threading as per the P4 check rails.

I must have a try with your chairs, not having used Shapeways before do I need to open an account?

I have tried to send a PM but its not working
Whilst I am quite busy at the moment, using some of your chairs is very high on my to do list.Looking at the check rail chairs it becomes much cheaper when buying in larger quantity's which I can understand, the same is not offered in the common crossing or the Sample selection chairs 1
I guess what I am looking at is perhaps a trial pack, though other than the through bolts and the J joint chairs  my stock of C&L chairs looks to cover this sprue for a trial turnout build. Also please are you any nearer to producing any PL switch chairs yet please
