    I will upload the seven pages of the R.G. Thomas Layout Page item from the MRN which I dipped into last weekend in another thread.   It will include another two layout plans and the authors thought on the designs.  I'll do them as attachments.

As you can see I have merged the pages into this single topic for easier reading. Sorry if I didn't make that clear -- you don't have to start a new topic for each attachment, just a new message, i.e. click Reply on the previous message.

That makes a lot of sense :)

You'll see that there are a couple of scales included which would give you a more accurate idea of dimensions.   I've tried to keep the page sizes the same when scanning so the scales should work OK on Fig 3.

I'll have a look for his station design articles to see if they are any good.  I get the feeling that Mr. Thomas might have been a railway professional since I'm sure I've seen a similar style of drafting on official railway drawings.

Some intresting images their Jim i like the one with turntable & large station it looks great. Something i am looking into doing at the minute for the club layout. Im just saving for templot at the minute then i can start the designing of the layout should be fun.
