I have been having a go at drawing a C10 scissors crossover, which has been surprisingly easy. I have now come to a point where the crossing timbers for the vees on the diamond and turnouts conflict ever so slightly. To save twisting timbers, is it acceptable to increase the width of them from 12" to 14" as this seems to be a viable solution? Thanks, Michael |

Hi Michael. I would try increasing the turnout side adjacent track spacing by 1/10th of the misalignment and trying again, I would guess about 0.04mm. The theory being that the spacing displacement will be multiplied by the crossing angle in the horizontal direction. Regards Tony. PS make sure that the peg is on the ctrl 5 position first. |
