Hi All, Does anyone know if it is possible to determine the offset when creating an S-curve transition. For example if I have two parallel tracks on 60mm centres (4mm scale) can I pick a length of track that will, when S-curve transition is selected, have an offset of 60mm. I know I can create an offset by having two contra curved tracks coming off the ends of the straight tracks but I wondered if I could do it directly. Thanks Godders |

Hi Godders, You can set up the offset in a transition curve by adjusting the centres and radii of the 1st and 2nd curves, and then using the make transition function to create the transition curve between them. However, I think what you are looking for is a slew, not an S-curve transition: slew_marks.gif All about slewing here: http://templot.com/martweb/gs_geometry.htm#slewing regards, Martin. |
