Hi Martin,

Please see the attached file.

Surely the 'rolled out length' should be 4 full rail lengths? This is the third or fourth time I've come across this. Is there something wrong with the file or am I missing something?

Best Regards

Peter

Sorry Martin,

Please ignore my previous post. It's late!

It's a long time since I rolled all the rails completely and I had become used to seeing them at 100%.

Apologies.

Peter

Hi Peter,

No harm done! But just to explain for others:

After using the CTRL+F4 mouse action roll rails and sleepers, a plain track track template is divided into two sections. The rolled-in length is the distance from the CTRL-1 end to the first rail joint. The rolled-out length is the remaining distance to the CTRL-0 end. The rolled in and rolled out lengths together add up to the full template length.

This function is used to maintain a proper "flow" of sleeper spacings and rail lengths across template boundaries. Version 082d introduced some additional functions to automate this process, making it easier to create a long string of plain track templates with rail lengths and sleepers correctly spaced throughout. For detailed notes and screenshots, go to 082 info , scroll down to "new roll rails functions" and click the info icon.

regards,

Martin.
