Hi Martin,

Think I know how it happened but here is the error message "Access Violation Address 00402CF9 in module templot_2.exe Write of address 38B1305C.

Happened when trying to save sketchboard file on closing Templot but had already closed the sketchboard file (I think).

You might want to trap this somehow. I have managed to repeat the error.

OS Windows 7 64bit

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for reporting this. Unfortunately I haven't been able to reproduce it here.

But you say you can reproduce it, so it should be fixable if you can give a detailed recipe of exactly what steps cause it. Thanks.

Are you saving files locally, or to a network drive, or a synchronised or cloud-based folder?

cheers,

Martin.

As I said I suspect it is because I had already closed the Sketchboard window. First I opened the design in a new Sketchboard window. Altered the display to Manual Update and changed it so that the track showed rather than just a blue line. Added background images to the mix, saved it to pdf, then closed the window. I then closed Templot which prompted me to save the sketchboard at which point the error happened. Windows 7  64 local folder on actual machine.

Martin

To add to Stephens error message, I have consistently been getting the following error message:

"Access violation at address 007E8FE7 in module 'templot_2.exe'. Read of address 00000042"

This happens when I click on one of the shapes (and it seems to be just one particular shape) in the Background menu. The main issue is that I cannot then close the error message and go back to Templot - I have to close the program with Task Manager.

I have had this happen previously on a different layout design and I think I remedied it by redoing all of the shapes.

Regards

Graeme Lewis

Hi Graeme,

Do you mean when clicking on one of the background shapes in the list? If so, please can you post the BGS file here.

Or one of the items on the sketchboard? If so, please can you post the sketchboard SK9 file here.

It seems likely that the file has been corrupted in some way.

Thanks,

Martin.
