When I copy the K-crossing check rail, e.g. to move it to another location, I cannot copy it to the background track plan. When I call ctrl-M the template disappears every time. What do I have to do to put the template in the background? Greetings Arno |

I found it. I always remove " track centre-lines" when I copy parts of templates. When I copy the K-crossing check rails I only have to allow to stand the track centre-lines to copy the templates into the background trail plan. For example, if I want to construct a double-slip with outside arcs, I leave the track centre-lines only once for the basic templates. Now I have to accept 4 additional centre-lines. Excuse me for the request. Greetings Jürgen Arno |

Hi Arno, Thanks for reporting this bug. I have actually had a note about it in my notebook for some time, but because of my memory problems I had forgotten all about it. I'm very sorry about that, it will be fixed in 226c program update shortly. My failing memory is becoming an increasing problem for me in supporting Templot. In the meantime there is another workaround if you don't like to have the centre-lines on. The K-crossing check rails will appear in background templates provided any other element in the rails layer is also present. The most convenient element is probably a trackbed edge, because you can make it very short independently of anything else, and it is well clear of the track. It just needs to be long enough to click on it in order to select the template easily (otherwise it would need Shift+click on its name label): 2_231821_520000000.png Many thanks again for reporting this. The bug applies only to the trackpad and storage box, the check rails appear correctly in the output and on the sketchboard (in detail mode). There are several other bugs relating to the K-crossing check rails -- the flared end adjustments swap sides when making diamond-crossings, and the DXF export is incomplete. I will try to get them all fixed soon. cheers, Martin. |

I just couldn't see this fix last night. After a walk to the Lincomb fish pass this afternoon, the fix (not the fish) jumped out of the page at me. What's interesting is that the K-crossing check rails have never been shown on the storage box drawings, and no-one has ever mentioned it. Presumably most folks prefer to see the template list instead on the box. What's sad is that I do now recall noticing it years ago, but never got round to doing anything about it, not even making a note about it in my notebook as far as I can find. All fixed now. cheers, Martin. |
