I'm currently planning a layout and I'm using a map as a background shape. I'm using the sketchboard to plan the baseboards and I'd like to have the sketchboard items displayed in front of the background shape in the trackpad. I thought deselecting the highlighted option below would do the job but it hasn't. The sketchboard items are definitely there as, if I hide the background shape, they appear... Untitled-2.jpg  John |

Hi John, That function is working, but I think possibly you missed the operative word "output" on there. It applies only for printed templates and exported PDF files, not on the trackpad. Sorry, there isn't a function to show the sketchboard items on the trackpad in front of anything else. It would be tricky to implement and significantly affect the screen response speed. What I suggest you could do if you want to design sketchboard items over the map, would be to put the map as an image on the sketchboard, rather than having it as a visible picture shape on the trackpad. You can save an image file from the picture shape, and make a note of its size and location dimensions: 2_270751_140000000.png  Then insert it as an image item on the sketchboard, and set the dimensions to match (on the modify tab). Send it to the back on the sketchboard, so that you can work over it. It will be appear on the trackpad with the other sketchboard items: 2_270749_370000000.png  When you switch the sketchboard items off the trackpad (for a faster screen response) you can switch the picture shape back on to continue track planning over it. Untick this option while you have the image item loaded separately on the sketchboard: 2_270816_500000000.png  cheers, Martin. |
