Hi all! Can somebody tell me if there is a possibility to find out the amount of sleepers of a ready to build Templot plan classified into lengths of the sleepers? George |

Prototype info in the US usually includes the "bill of materials" (BOM) for each turnout size. I would expect the UK historical documents do the same thing. However, for drawing purposes, when making my CAD US templates, I also made a sleeper length ruler bar at the end of the turnout, and drew lines along from it mark the end of each size. This allowed me to just extend each sleeper out to the correct length by "snapping it to the appropriate line. Any one who converts the plot to a DXF (CAD file) could easily do the same and count the number of sleepers ending at each ruler line. Andy |
