Dear all,

You may have noticed this note above every message on Templot Club:
Clicked a link? Arrived at the wrong message? Wait until the page has finished loading, click in the address bar and then press the Enter key. This is a timing bug in some browsers.
I'm pleased to say that this bug has finally been fixed in Firefox 3. :) Firefox now re-positions the page automatically when rendering is finished -- just like Opera, but faster.

There are other improvements too -- faster page loading, mouse wheel zooming can be text only or text-and-images option, easier to spot the active tab when you have lots of them open, etc.

But fixing the above bug is the major highlight for me.

So far Firefox 3 hasn't come up as an automatic update, no doubt to spread the load on the download servers. But you can get it now by going to:

http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox

regards,

Martin.

Apparently on "download day" their servers crashed because of the load!

Am happily using FF3 on my macs and PC! now and so far haven't found any problems. I like the new interface, but not sure of the drop down menu when you start typing a URL.

That is one of the features I like the most!  Now, why doesn't the quote box seem to work any more????

(Oh - it does after you've posted the message, but not during composing.  Hmmm...

Hi,

Could anyone advise how to delete a password from the memory. Recently a website I visit occasionally, revised its password. Now every time I go, the old one appears and I have to overwrite this. Problem is, it will not remember the new password.

Can anyone help please?

Regards

Brian Lewis

Hi Brian

From the Tools menu, click on Options, then click on the Security tab.  There's a button there called "Saved passwords" - click on that.  Hopefully the ensuing window will be self-explanatory - click on the "Show passwords" button to make sure you remove the right one.
