Martin, not having Templot, does this mean I cannot open up attachments that have the extension of Box ,etc? If this is the case, it to me seems unusual in being a member of the Forum but unable to open up attachments. regards Ron Solly |

Sol wrote: Martin, not having Templot, does this mean I cannot open up attachments that have the extension of Box ,etc?Hi Ron, Welcome to Templot Club. That's right. .box and .bgs files are unique to Templot, so unless you have the Templot program you can't make any use of them. If this is the case, it to me seems unusual in being a member of the Forum but unable to open up attachments.I'm not sure what you mean there? This Templot Club forum is open for anyone to read and anyone can join. It's not necessary to have the Templot program. But because it is mainly intended for users of Templot, obviously a lot of the content will be meaningless to members and visitors who are not Templot users. regards, Martin. |

Thanks Martin for the response & your first reply is what I thought it would be. Agreed that content is mainly for Users of Templot, I find that while I personally do not need it now as I have completed 95% of my pointwork, I am still interested enough to read & see what others are doing in this field but is seems that I & any other Club members who do not purchase Templot, will miss out on information. Just my thoughts. regards Ron |

But obviously if you don't buy it you will be missing out on something -- the opportunity to use it! But you won't be missing out on information, the .box and .bgs files are Templot computer data files, they don't contain anything which is readable. What I think you mean is that you can't see the track plan. Quite often members also include a screenshot from the program when uploading data files or discussing them. I will add a note to the Help file suggesting that they do this every time. That should be easier in the next upgrade to the forum software, allowing multiple attachments per message. regards, Martin. |
