Hi Andrew,
Could you please tell me how to add more sleepers to a turnout.

Can you explain a bit more about what you are trying to do? Perhaps you could attach a screenshot?

If you mean you want to add one or two additional timbers, use the real > shove timbers functions. Click the add bonus timber button. This adds an extra timber initially at the CTRL-1 position. You can then shove it along to wherever you need it. Repeat for any additional timbers.

If you mean you want to create a turnout with closer timber spacing (as in USA practice for example), use the various options and settings in the real menu. There is a video showing these settings being used in this topic:

n.g. video topic

It's actually for narrow-gauge, but all the same settings are used to adjust the timbering for standard gauge.

If you mean you want to lengthen the template, use the F5 mouse action to change the turnout size, or the F3 and F4 mouse actions to add approach or exit track respectively.

If you can give a bit more detail, I can expand on these notes.

regards,

Martin.

Hi Andrew,

I'm sorry. I tend to assume that everyone has at least upgraded to version 082d. My order confirmation letter suggests that you should do that as soon as you have completed the "track plan" tutorial.

I should have mentioned that you need to upgrade to version 082d for the bonus timbers. Details of how to do that are at:

 Pug info pages

After upgrading you will find the add bonus timber button on the shove timbers dialog:

To see the shove timbers dialog, click the real > shove timbers menu item, as shown above.

regards,

Martin.
