I am a new user of Templot and am slowly getting to grips with it having been through the tutorial a couple of times.

I mainly model 2' narrow gauge in 7mm:ft scale (O-14) and have just about managed to define a standard Robert Hudson turnout with correct sleepering etc.  I can restore the storage box OK between sessions and the templates have the correct gauge etc., however I have found the custom settings are lost between sessions. I have run controlled tests to confirm this. Is this to be expected or am I doing something wrong? I'm not sure if it has a bearing but I am using pug version 091c on a Mac using Parallels desktop (a full PC emulator)

Hi John,

Templot mints a new control template from the last template loaded from file. Minting means that basic settings such as gauge and scale are preserved, but most other settings revert to the defaults.

If you have custom settings in the loaded templates, all you have to do is copy one of them to the control template. Usually the one you want to continue working on or from. Just click on it, and select copy to the control* or delete to the control on its menu which pops up on the left. Then off you go.

*copy to current on earlier versions.

regards,

Martin.

Thanks Martin,

I think I am getting the hang of it.
