----- from Ted Scannell -----

Does Templot accommodate all the twists and foibles of tram and trolley tracks worldwide, or would the differences justify a separate suite of software?  (Tramplot? :) )

Best regards,

Ted.

Hi Ted,

Sorry, no, Templot doesn't cover tram track and street railways.

To see why, here I have scanned a couple of the amazing pictures from the Edgar Allen tram track handbook, showing tram tracks under construction. :)

It's a different world, about which I know very little. If you want "Tramplot" it won't be me writing it. Over to you? :)

regards,

Martin.

They're truely stunning photos, does the book say where they were intended for? That set obviously for a storage yard seems to have atleast 25 diverging roads.

It's also interesting that they don't seem to use girder rail,  but bolt the check rail onto 'standard' flat bottom rail.

the first pic seems to only allow a crossover from right to left/left to right handed running on both the diverging routes (starting from bottom left)
