----- from Ted Scannell ----- Does Templot accommodate all the twists and foibles of tram and trolley tracks worldwide, or would the differences justify a separate suite of software? (Tramplot? ) Best regards, Ted. |

Ted Scannell asked: Does Templot accommodate all the twists and foibles of tram and trolley tracks worldwide, or would the differences justify a separate suite of software?Hi Ted, Sorry, no, Templot doesn't cover tram track and street railways. To see why, here I have scanned a couple of the amazing pictures from the Edgar Allen tram track handbook, showing tram tracks under construction. tram_track1.jpg © Edgar Allen tram_track2.jpg © Edgar Allen It's a different world, about which I know very little. If you want "Tramplot" it won't be me writing it. Over to you? regards, Martin. |

They're truely stunning photos, does the book say where they were intended for? That set obviously for a storage yard seems to have atleast 25 diverging roads. Dave |

the first pic seems to only allow a crossover from right to left/left to right handed running on both the diverging routes (starting from bottom left) There's something of an artform in track like this, athena missed a trick |
