Dear all,

In response to a suggestion on the OS Maps Yahoo group, I have set up a web forum for everyone interested in maps. All are welcome at Maps Forum:)

n.b. this new forum is on the same web domain as Templot Club. This means that you can't be logged in on both forums simultaneously -- unless you use the same User Name and Password for both forums. So I suggest that you do that.

The One Square game on RMweb is so enjoyable that I thought I would start something similar on the new forum to help get it under way. I have changed the rules slightly to make it easier for a general audience. You might like to join in the new game at:

http://85a.co.uk/maps_forum/view_topic.php?id=3&forum_id=1

(This new forum is a trial to see if there is any demand for such. If there is no significant activity after about 10 days, I shall delete it.)

regards,

Martin.

Has anyone tried the Maps Forum? I followed the link but got a 'Page Load error', telling me that there was a redirect loop  - redirection limit for the URL exceeded. It continued to explain that I might br blocking Cookies. I don't think I am, and I have no difficulty with the Templot Forum. Has anyone any thoughts?

Bill

Hi Bill,

That's odd. :? No problems here. Anyone else?

Which browser are you using?

Instead of clicking a link, try copying and pasting this directly into your browser's address bar:

regards,

Martin.

I use Firefox 3.0.10, and get the same result when pasting in the above URL :(.
I did wonder if it might have something to do with the Templot Forum Cookie, or that I am signed into the Forum. However, I don't appear to be able to log out - nothing happens when I click on the logout link. Perhaps I should delete the Forum cookie and see what happens.

That worked. And I can still get into the Templot Forum too.  Thanks Martin & John for your replies.
