Dear all, Following some confusion today I have decided to change things. Previously if you posted a message to Templot Club by email it actually came to me and I have been entering it on the forum for you. This was quite time-consuming to do but I thought it worth doing to help folks who couldn't access the web site for whatever reason. However, it's clear that it caused much confusion and that many folks have just been dabbing "Reply" in their email programs without reading the text asking them not to. So I regret that it is no longer possible to post messages to Templot Club by email. To post a message you must visit the Templot Club web site. If you are reading an email from Templot Club there is always a link at the top of the email to take you straight to the relevant page on the web site. You can then either click the Reply buttons on each message to compose your reply in the full-feature posting editor, or if you prefer you can scroll to the bottom of the page and use the Quick Reply panel on the left. If you don't like writing on a live web site, you can compose your reply in your email program or word processor, and then copy and paste it into the web site when you are ready. Please note that none of this affects your ability to receive emails from Templot Club. You can do that either via the Templot Yahoo group if you are a member of it, or direct from the Templot Club web site if you prefer that way. To do that, click the My Account button at the top of every web page and then the Emailed Messages tab on the left. Make your settings as required and then click Save. Apologies for the red ink, underlinings and stroppy tone, but for some reason it seems that this whole thing has been difficult for some folks to grasp, despite a reminder in every single email. Many apologies also to those who used email posting only when unavoidable. I'm sorry you can no longer do that. However if you send it to me at martin@templot.com marked "please post this on Templot Club for me" I will make sure it appears. And just to repeat: None of this affects your ability to receive Templot Club emails. It's concerned only with sending emails. regards to all, Martin. |

Martin Seems very reasonable. I find receiving emails from Templot Club very useful as it gives a quick unprompted indication of what's being discussed and whether it's of interest. But replying directly on Templot Club is no hassle and is better in lots of ways. cheers Nigel |

Seconded. Sorry to have been a "sinner" on occasion. Brian W Lewis. | ||
