Hi All, I've just been attempting to create a C8 RH / A6 LH Tandem Point. I'm having some difficulty in figuring out if i can add wing rails to the end if the crossing vee located in the centre track. If anyone has any ideas or just fancy a play i've downloaded the .Box file. Mark |

Hi Mark Martin has a tutorial at http://www.templot.com/martweb/video_list.htm that shows just how to put the wing and check rails in as you wish them. Regards John P |

Mark Leigh wrote: I've just been attempting to create a C8 RH / A6 LH Tandem Point.Hi Mark, Have you watched the video about creating tandem turnouts? It's in the video list at: http://www.templot.com/martweb/video_list.htm There is a detailed guide to what's happening in the tandem video at: message 4150 There are a couple of problems with your tandem at present: 1. The switches are not sufficiently far apart -- the right hand point blade on the A switch does not have room to open fully. 2. The two V-crossings are likewise not sufficiently staggered. This makes it impossible to position one of the check rails to function properly on the right-hand V-crossing. If you go to the Detailed Site Search at: http://www.templot.com/zoom/search_cgi.htm and enter "tandem" you will find lots of discussion about creating tandem turnouts. regards, Martin. |
