I'm hoping to be at Expo EM North tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 13th). I can have a tablet computer running Templot with me if anyone would like 10 minutes help with the program. (And assuming we can find a table and chairs somewhere -- I have not visited this venue before.) http://www.emgs.org/2-expoem-events/14-expoem-north-2014.html Please bear in mind that I would also like to see the show. So please no requests to fit Crewe into 4ft x 2ft while-u-wait, or convert a back of an envelope sketch into a finished layout plan on the hoof. This would be just a few minutes help with using the Templot program. regards, Martin. |

A very enjoyable visit to ExpoEM North yesterday. There were many fine layouts on show -- including several which had been planned with Templot. Many thanks to exhibition manager Derek who produced a table and chairs for me at short notice. I had a pleasant chat with several Templot users, including a long chat with Michael Woolford about his impressive project: topic 2493 Michael was saying how pleased and impressed he was that Tony Wilkins had so much helped him with this, and that it illustrated the benefit of being a member of this Templot Club forum. That's what we are here for. My new tablet computer is proving to be much more usable for Templot than I feared, and survived the journey in my rucksack unscathed. A full laptop would have been far too cumbersome. So perhaps I should repeat this "Templot on tour" idea? Scaleforum is only two weeks away. The train journey home was uneventful and I managed to avoid the disruption in the Birmingham area last night. So all in all a very pleasant day out and many thanks to all involved in staging such a fine show at Urmston. And with special thanks for the ride on a vintage bus! That's three times this year at different exhibitions, and seems to be becoming a standard feature at the better shows. Martin. |

Martin Did you get a chance to see much of the show? You should have introduced yourself to us on Roundtrees. Pity I missed out on a quick refresh of Templot Lee |

Hi Lee, Yes thanks I did see the show. It was a very good show so I'm glad I had time for a proper look round. Sorry I missed meeting you. Next time perhaps, or see you at Scaleforum? regards, Martin. |

I'm intending to be at Scaleforum, see: http://www.scalefour.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=33565#p33565 (and also for some discussion about Templot on tablet computers). Looking forward to seeing you and everyone. regards, Martin. |
