The assumption is that you have your own machines on which to experiment, or helpful friends with machines. Please do not send Templot files to commercial laser cutting or 3D printing firms while this project is still experimental, because the results are unpredictable and possibly wasteful.

Some pages of this and other topics include contributions from members who are creating and posting their own CAD designs for 3D printing and laser-cutting. Do not confuse them with Templot's own exported CAD files. All files derived from Templot are © Martin Wynne.

As suggested I have started a test print in 7mm scale, starting with an A6 plug track base. Simply to see how the track base prints in 7mm scale, and what if anything need altering

The A6 turnout needs to be printed in 3 sections, this is the switch end which had an issue at the start of the print (My fault) and the first 3/4 timbers need replacing

The first two sections have been printed, the base is too thick at 6mm so I need to learn how to reduce the thickness of both the timber bases and chair plugs. But as said this is a test print to learn these lessons

The next issue are the tiebar restraining bars, in my opinion both too big and large. Or do we need them at all

I am now printing the third base now
