The assumption is that you have your own machines on which to experiment, or helpful friends with machines. Please do not send Templot files to commercial laser cutting or 3D printing firms while this project is still experimental, because the results are unpredictable and possibly wasteful.

Creating a bi-directional Transition Curve?

Hello,

I've been trying to create a transition curve in a template that gradually transitions from a straight template into a curve no tighter than 750mm, then gradually transitions back to straight again; I've tried to do such a thing but can't seem to get the gradual transition back to straight again, despite adjusting the Transition Curve settings every which way I can think of.
Can someone advise what I'm doing wrong please?

Thanks,
Brian

@ploybear

hi brian,

that is two transition curves

you can have only one in a single template

do this:

1. create the first transition to the end of the curved section.

2. put the fixing peg on that end.

3. click tools > make mirror on peg menu item.

other members here will be able to explain more. @Steve_Cornford

Hi Martin,

That's excellent - many thanks, I'll give that a go shortly.

It's great to have you back :) - I hope the paw soon mends.

Now if only you could add an update to make rooms bigger.....

Kind Regards,
Brian
