TEMPLOT 3D PLUG TRACK - To get up to speed with this experimental project click here.   To watch an introductory video click here.   See the User Guide at Bexhill West.

  • The Plug Track functions are experimental and still being developed. Some of the earlier pages of this topic are now out-of-date.

For an updated overview of this project see this topic.   For some practical modelling aspects of using Plug Track see Building 3D Track.

The assumption is that you have your own machines on which to experiment, or helpful friends with machines. Please do not send Templot files to commercial laser cutting or 3D printing firms while this project is still experimental, because the results are unpredictable and possibly wasteful.

Some pages of this and other topics include contributions from members who are creating and posting their own CAD designs for 3D printing and laser-cutting. Do not confuse them with Templot's own exported CAD files. All files derived from Templot are © Martin Wynne.

we are accumulating a collection of scruff recordings of Zoom meetings -- i have just added 2 more:

https://85a.uk/templot/club/index.php?threads/scruff-zoom-recordings.643/post-9135

we need a volunteer to watch them, and compile a timeline for each.

i.e. a list of elapsed times at which useful topics are mentioned or covered.

the list can then be posted here with a link to the relevant post containing the recording.

anyone?

the various topics can then be found via the search functions.

at present there is no way of knowing what is in each one, and for me to compile a timeline would mean a lot more typing and editing which i'm finding painful at present.

thanks.

p.s. to jump to and fro in the video you might find it easier to download the mp4 file, and then watch it in your system video player.

Hi Martin, I'm not making any promises but, I'll have a go at downloading and editing one of these later today and then we can review whether its what you're looking for. Hopefully, I'll have it done before tonights 8pm meeting for feedback etc.

@Terry Downes

Hi Terry,

That's excellent -- much more detail than i was expecting! Thank you very much for doing that.

I edited it just to provide a brief title with the date.

And rather than the mp4 file name it's better to provide a link to the relevant post. every post on Templot Club has a message ref showing in green at the bottom. with the ref number you can create a URL link to any post in this format:

Code:
https://85a.uk/templot/club/index.php?posts/9112

cheers,

martin.
