Hello Martin/All.

I have a rectangular shape (to represent an Engine Shed) on the Sketchboard that's right at the very top (so the top edge is sitting on the 0 mm line on the y-axis. When I go over to the Trackpad it appears ok, but the top outline of the shape isn't marked (but the infill colour shading is present, as are the other three sides).
I can move the shape downwards on the Sketchboard and the side will then appear on the Trackpad shape - but of course then the shape isn't positioned over the tracks....

What am I doing wrong please?

Thanks
Brian

Hi Brian,

Click the button 1 and with the mouse draw a boundary rectangle 2 around your track plan and baseboards, leaving a small margin all round:

On the sketchboard control panel, click the trackplan tab. Select the boundary rectangle option, and then update now:

5. Tick the box top-left if you want sketchboard items to appear on the trackpad. N.B. This will slow down the trackpad screen response for zooming and panning -- leave this box ticked only while you actually need to see the sketchboard items on the trackpad. Was this the reason for your slow response problem?

p.s. You have some large picture shapes in your background shapes. Although you have set them not to show on the trackpad, they will still be causing some processing time. They don't appear relevant to your current plan, so I recommend deleting them and saving a fresh BGS3 file.

cheers,

Martin.
