Hi

I have submitted a post and wished to mark the the template(s) to make it clear as to what I was talking about. I assumed that this was via the shapes function, but can not work out how it works.

Regards
Graham

Hi Graham,

The shapes function is to draw shapes, such as baseboard edges, it does not highlight templates or parts of templates.

To highlight a template, use the group template function, see the attached picture. You click on the template that you wish to highlight, which puts up the menu on the left, then the button you need is in blue, when you put the cursor on it.

I hope that this is what you were after.

Hi Graham,

To mark up a screenshot before posting, most members would use a separate drawing program such as Windows Paint. That's how I added the red rings in these diagrams.

But Templot includes its own drawing program on the sketchboard which you could use:

Or as Phil says, you can highlight whole templates by selecting them, and then group them or set a marker colour for them:

To indicate individual timbers, you can have them appear in different colours:

The background shapes are mostly used for baseboard outlines and background maps. But you could use the lines, circles, target marks and labels as screenshot markers if you wished. They can be deleted after making the screenshot:

cheers,
